General Itinerary

Day 1 – June 27 – Tue – Tel​ ​Aviv​ ​/​ ​Jaffa

Welcome to Israel!  Meet & Assist at the airport. Transfer to your hotel for check in. Dinner on your own.

Day 2 – June 28th – Wed – Caesarea​ ​/​ ​Mt.​ ​Carmel​ / Akko / Rosh Hanikra

Following breakfast, we drive north along the plain of Sharon, the Mediterranean and the old coastal road Via Maris that linked Egypt and Babylon as we journey towards Galilee. We stop at Caesarea​ ​the incredible fortress city built by King Herod the Great, Visit the Roman Theatre, the Hippodrome and the Crusader City, we then travel north towards Haifa  we will stop  at German Colony for an incredible panoramic view of Haifa & Bahai Gardens .​

Our next stop is  Acre (Acco), the largest Crusader city in the country. The city is extremely well preserved and you can’t help being impressed by the incredible architecture and how it has survived. We can see the Crusader remains, the prison used under Turkish rule and the gallows which were later used under the British Mandate to hang Jews who broke the British law limiting Jewish immigration to Palestine following World War II.

We end our day at Rosh HaNikra, the most northerly point along Israel’s Mediterranean coast. We descend by cable car into the network of limestone grottoes created by the constant bombardment of waves against the rocks.

Proceed to kibbutz hotel next to the Sea of Galilee.

Day 3 – June 29th – Thu

After breakfast:

8:30 – 9:30 am – Celebrate Bar Mitzvah Ceremony at Hamat Ancient Synagogue (organized by Benji)

11:00 am – 1:00 pm – Cesarea Philippi – Banyas the Banias Nature Reserve contains an abundance of natural and historical beauty, from the ruins of ancient cities to the roaring Banias Waterfall – the biggest waterfall in Israel.

1:00 – 2:00 pm – Stop for Lunch (on your own)

2:00 – 4:00 pm – Kayaking  at the Jordan River  river experience and attraction From high-speed “kayaking” (rafting) down fast-flowing waters to lazing down the Hatzbani stream, Kfar Blum guarantees fun for the entire family.

5:00 – 7:00 pm – Safed walk through ancient sections of the city and hear stories of the Kabbalists and their ancient synagogues. Our Tzfat tour will end with a visit to its famous artists’ colony where we will meet a Kabala artist and learn about his special techniques and context.

Day 4 – June – 30th –Fri – Holy Sites surrounding the Sea of Galilee

On this day, we will sail on the Sea of Galilee, visit the museum of the ancient boat at Kibbutz Ginosar, visit Capernaum, the town of Jesus, visit the Church of Multiplication in Tabgha (where the Lord performed the miracle of the Loaves and Fishes), and visit the Mount of Beatitudes (where Jesus taught “The Sermon on the Mount”).  We’ll end  our day with a visit to Yardenit, the traditional baptismal site on the Jordan River.

Remainder of the day at leisure at the Sea of Galilee.

Dinner & Overnight at Hotel

Day 5 – July 1st – Sat –Ein Gedi, Masada, Dead Sea

After breakfast we will depart the Sea of Galilee.

We will drive via the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea, our first stop.

Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, David Waterfall – a year-round waterfall along the course of the David Stream, to which there is access by a hiking trail, for all the family. Arugot Stream –a hiking trail for good walkers runs along the length of the stream, which flows all year round, to the Hidden Waterfall and the pools at the head of the stream.

Than we will proceed  to our next stop the fortress of Masada by cable car.  We’ll visit the archeological finds and enjoy the palaces, bathhouses, walls and the remarkable view of the Dead Sea.

We will descend by cable car or by the Snake Path.

We continue along the shore of the Dead Sea to our hotel. We will have time to swim and float in the Dead Sea.

Day 6 – July 2nd – Sun – Culinary tour at Machane Yehuda 

After breakfast:

Free morning at Dead Sea, enjoy hotel spa and treatments (on your own).

11:00 am – we board the bus to travel to Jerusalem where we will begin from the top of Has Promenade. Armon Hanatziv – Segway tour – 2 hours, 8 km.

The magnificent Boardwalk is located in one of the highest locations in Jerusalem, is composed of three different routes that intertwine, and is considered one of Israel’s most beautiful tracks!!

The combination of the floating experience, wide paths particularly convenient for the Segway ride, clear refreshing air unique to Jerusalem and our fascinating guidance about Jerusalem’s beautiful landscapes is incredible!

There are two particular stops for observation of breathtaking views incorporated in the tour:

The first observation of the entire old city: the walls, the Temple Mount, the Jewish Quarter, the Kidron Valley, Mount Hztim, Scopus etc.

And the second observation of the Judean desert, the mountains of Moab, the separation wall, the first Jewish neighborhood built outside the walls – the picturesque Mishkenot Sha’ananim, Mount Samuel and a few other surprises.

Water is provided at both stops to all of the participants.

Then check in and to our hotel.

In the evening we will experience a Mahane Yehuda Market Culinary Tour to meet different local ethnic groups and taste some of their cultural foods.

Day 7 – July 3rd – Mon

Breakfast & Dinner at the hotel

We will start our day at Mount of Olives with its breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem. Then proceed to an exciting tour to the site where much of the Bible was written, the City of David where everything all began…

We will walk on an underground street that was used by Jewish pilgrims, visit the Davidson Center, a beautiful archeological multi-level space in Umayyad palace, holding artifacts from Second Temple to Early Islamic periods, and experience the holiest of Jewish sites,

The Western Wall, known in Hebrew as Kotel – a time for reflections.

1:00 PM We will visit the Temple Mount (if time permits) we will tour the Mount.

We will proceed  to the Jewish Quarter with a satisfying lunch on your own.  Choose from a variety of restaurants and we will take some time to stroll the Jewish galleries.

From there, we will walk to the Christian Quarter to visit the world famous Holy Sepulchre Church, where Jesus was said to be crucified, laid to rest and resurrected.

Return to the hotel for dinner.

After dinner, Night Spectacular Tower of David Light Show* awaits us; a light and sound pictorial tale which stunningly combines the wonders of modern technology, the tumultuous history of Jerusalem and the beauty of the citadel at its best.  (*Weather permitting.)

July 4th – Tue – Jerusalem’s New City

After breakfast, check out from our hotel.

We will then continue to the museum at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, including the Valley of the Communities.

We will visit the Israel Museum to see the Shrine of the Book with a display of Dead Sea Scrolls and visit the model of Jerusalem during the Second Temple period.

We will pass by the Knesset – Israel’s Parliament building, stop at the famous Menorah and the new home of Israel’s Supreme Court for a family photo.

Our tour end at Jaffa, with its unique, old-world atmosphere is completely different than the rest of Tel Aviv. It’s a wonderful place to visit during the day…

We will love wandering around Jaffa’s winding alleyways interspersed with art galleries, historic stone buildings, mosques and churches, the Jaffa Flea Market (Shuk Hapishpishim) and the Jaffa Port.

Tour Cancellations

Yael Adventures may decide to cancel the tour for any reason. In such a case, Yael Adventures will be responsible to provide a full refund. Yael Adventures will not be responsible for and will not refund any purchases not made through Yael Adventures, e.g., airline tickets. Cancellation according to state travel advisors and/or warnings, acts of war, acts of God, natural disasters, or other reasons that are out of Yael Adventures’ control, will not be eligible for any form of refund. For cancellations by a tour leader or by individuals who registered for a trip, refunds will follow the Cancellation Fees schedule posted below.
